Home again, home again, from a great vacation full of adventure, surprises, laughter, food and fun. A celebration of life is a good excuse for a trip. Latisha started planning a trip for August's first birthday a year ago. She had wanted as many of the family as could to meet at the Oregon coast for a celebration of August's first year. Latisha is a great planner and everything right down to the weather went wonderful. She is full of much faith and prayed for good weather and as we watch the clouds gather inland we on the coast had a wonderful time.
Our trip actually started a bit before the coast so I thought I would share some highlights.
Day 1: We drove four hours to see some long time friends we hadn't seen in quite a while. They had dinner waiting and it was so good to fellowship with them. Then we traveled another hour or so to Alex and Ivy's, where the kids got to see the new house and dog.
Day 2: It was a beautiful day. Ivy made us breakfast, then we had games, and a bbq in honor of Cassandra and Alexander's birthdays. Ivy is doing great in her pregnancy. At now 10 weeks she is barely getting a belly but the pregnancy glow on her face shines. How exciting.

Day 3: Church with Alexander and Ivy. Alex asked Brent to play the drums and Sierra play the keyboard as he led worship. It was wonderful. A big surprise was when we walked into the service and there were some old friends who live in Florida just happened to be visiting their niece in the same city where Alex lives. I was in shock and so happy to see them and their niece, who I actually grew up with. After service we headed to Sandpoint to prepare for the next day.

Day 4: kicked off with a day at the amusement park, Silverwood. It is a smaller park but lots of fun. We went on a perfect overcast day. The lines were short and we were able to have a relaxing day, watching each other on rides and not waiting in long lines. Cassandra was thrilled to find out she can now ride the big rides and boy did she.
