Time Sure Flies

It has been a while since I have posted.  The summer has flown by and we are back on our school schedule.  I don't know that I have felt inspired to post anything great and wonderful, but I know I get sad when blogs I enjoy don't post for a while.  Therefore I feel compelled to do a little update. I don't have many soap boxes that I get on, on my blog, mainly I just want to encourage and maybe entertain a bit.  Life gets so serious sometimes, so I try to be real but most of my post are just for fun.

I did not do a garden this year, which was freeing but a little sad now that it is harvest time and I have nothing to harvest.  My garden was overrun with nasty bugs last year that destroyed a lot of my plants.  Honestly, I was quite discouraged so I took a break.  With everything going on around here I really didn't even feel like I had a lot of extra time, the "garden" time just went to other things.

Sierra and Danika, went to National Fine Arts, where they competed in drama together and Sierra also competed in piano and human video.  They had a wonderful time and did great.

my mom went with them, here they are headed to the airport quite early
outside of performances they found time for ice cream.
While they were gone we had a little fun ourselves.
going on a little bike ride on the green belt.
Latisha is doing great.  She is almost in her third trimester and enjoys feeling baby.  I don't have a recent picture to show but here is a cute one of her and August.
I decided to take a trip with Sierra and Cassandra to see Alex, Ivy and Weston.  Sierra hasn't had a lot of interstate driving, so I took this opportunity for her to chauffeur us.  She did great, even with "mom" input off and on.

Cassandra enjoyed bonding time with Weston.
We decided to take a little day trip to Leavenworth, while there Alex took some senior photos of Sierra.  I thought the pictures were amazing, but he is going to do another photo shoot later and then after they are all together I can share.
Here they are in action

We made it home in time to enjoy the eclipse.  It was our first day of school and so we would take breaks and check on the progress of the moon and sun, then do a little more school, and back and forth.  I was quite impressed with the whole thing.  Cassandra was a little let down after it was done and said "was that it?"  "Yep, that was it, and it was lovely."

We did get to have a wonderful evening out the other night with my parents and my sister and her husband.  The weather is starting to cool off and makes enjoying the great outdoors pleasant.

Well that is a little update on our lives.  I hope you are all doing well.  God bless and Have a great day.
