Baby August's Baby Shower

This weekend was baby shower weekend.  We had a lot of fun planning and making things for the party.  It was a bit reminiscent of this time last year when we were getting ready for their wedding.  Brent and Latisha wanted a family shower and that worked out so nicely.  We had lots of excitement and fun.  Cassandra was so sweet and wanted to be a help with the little kids.  She planned activities for them.  It all turned out wonderful.  The day was sunny and the wind of the day before was only a breeze, the lows of last week were gone, and we were blessed with a good time.  Once again we did the Pinterest thing and got a lot of fun ideas for food, decorations, and games.  Brent and Latisha were blessed with great gifts for the baby.  I guess that means it is count down time.  The baby has been quite active, but Latisha is feeling good.  Here are some pictures and a big thank you to all who made this day so special.  Hope you are all doing well.  God Bless, Alicia

Our entry.  We asked Brent to make the Chalk board signs and were quite
impressed.

A lot of fun food

Not to mention great desserts even if my cake was a little slanted, it was fun.
The donuts were life preservers and the cake pops baby rattles.  A friend even
made cream puffs.

The kids were having a great time

we started off right with David welcoming everyone and a time of prayer

Lots of wonderful friends and family

Happy Birthday Danika!

Our dear sweet Danika is celebrating her 12th birthday.  Unfortunately for us, she is away for the day at the Girls Conference with our church.  Thankfully we got her Birthday pictures done yesterday when it was sunny and mostly beautiful.  It was a bit chilly though and she suggested wearing her blanket she got for her birthday.  I think her pictures still turned out great.  It is so fun to watch her turning into such a beautiful young lady and we are so thankful to God for giving Danika to us.  It won't be much longer before she is taller than me.  We took pictures this morning before taking her to the conference and it is amazing to see my little baby girl approaching my height.  Ok, so not a real big accomplishment, but still grabs my heart every time I begin to notice I am starting to look one of my babies eye to eye.  We love you Danika and pray God's richest blessings on you as you seek him in your life.  God Bless,
Mom and Dad

Have a blessed day.

Easter and Celebrations

What better a reason to celebrate than the resurrection of our Savior.  The birth of Christianity-our faith, after all is because of Christ.  To be a Christian is to be Christ like.  To lay down your life for your creation, who took your life as Jesus gave it, well, that is Devine.  But then the story doesn't end, He rose from the dead to redeem his beloved creation and to provide us with a Savior.  Behold the lamb who takes away our sins and provides us with redemption from our sin that we might be called the sons of God, Christians (Christ like), brothers and sisters united under our Savior.  This is why we celebrate.  Yes, we add games like egg hunting and special music and get all dressed up for the big celebration.  To us it is a time to be with those we love and celebrate the resurrection of our Savior.

The day was cloudy and rainy and then after we got home from church service the skies opened and the sun shone just long enough for us to do our egg hunt and have some lovely pictures.

We also spent the weekend celebrating the births of our third and forth children.  For the next couple months, our weekends are very busy. So this weekend we chose to throw together a party for them with their friends and then with family.  They wanted to have a Disney Bound party, where everyone tries to dress in a modern version of Disney characters.  I decided to hop on Pinterest for ideas and found many fun projects that we had only two days to get together.  Silly me.  It turned out nice and an enjoyable celebration time for Sierra and Danika.  There are many pictures so I hope you enjoy.  I do enjoy pictures and love it when others share pictures with me, so I hope you enjoy.  God Bless and Thank you Father for the gift of your Son.
